Bordering with Hangyeryeong (Ridge) and Osaek to the north, it lies face to face with Seoraksan (Mt.).  So it might have steep valleys and ridgelines similar to the ones in Seoraksan (Mt.). Among them, especially Jujeongol (Valley) is the finest of all and fall foliage is said to be a special attraction.  On the other hand, the slope on the south of Jeombongsan (Mt.) seems to be a hill rather than a mountain.  As reserved state of nature was relatively good, it was designated as the Reserved Nature Forest in 1987.  So nobody can cut a tree or a plant at random.

It can be called a 'Mecca of wild edible greens' because they grow well with sufficient moisture of gentle hill areas of high mountains. Even though these wild edible greens have been an important source of local residents' incomes, widely known to public, people from outside have flocked into there, now the forest resource is getting seriously damaged.  It has become hard for even residents to pick wild edible greens.  As this mountain is gentle and bountiful like the mother, children can run around.
