With Hinoki Cypress trees comprising dense forests, the
Pyeonbaek (South Sea Hinoki Cypress) Natural Recreation Forest
is located in the northern part of Naryeo Marine National
Park. You can enjoy picturesque scenery of the sea,
surrounded by land and sea. It overlooks the seas of Yeosu,
Jeollanam-do and Namhae, Gyeongsangnam-do. It is noted
for its abundant historic relics, such as Chungryeolsa
(Temple), representing the history of the naval officer Lee
Sun-sin's repulsing the Japanese naval forces.
